The Australians are buying from the Ricoh Australia store, which has a 15% off Easter sale. The K-3 iii doesn't show in the product list, but it comes up in a search.

Important parts needed for the K3III are transported in another containership which was held up.

Austria is not a typographic error, it's a whole other country. SRS is a UK company, which ships to Europe.

All Australian pre-orders were placed through the Pentax Australia website, which is run by C.R.Kennedy - the sole distributor Down Under. The timing happened to coincide with a store-wide 15% Easter discount promotion, but that loophole has now slammed shut.

All was needed was the right man with the right tools to get it going.

There are different methods which have been tried to lube things.
Some turned out a little bit dry
so the Chinese invented a more moist approach

Dunno how SRS are shipping to EU actually as the UK have left the EU single market and the customs union and are from an EU point of view a 3rd country. That means customs checks and import / export duties are now in place so pricing will differ. Now it could be that SRS are regarded as a well known and trusted reseller of Ricoh Pentax wares and you could order via SRS but it gets fulfilled by Ricoh EU or SRS have a subsidiary based in an EU country such as France or Belgium and distribute that way. Interesting news though.

A few months ago Pentax announced there would be a follow on to the K-3mkiii with better video capability, but I can't seem to find it. Does anybody remember if it said the camera will be upgradeable like the K-1 was upgradeable to the K-1mkii, or will it be an entirely separate camera?

It is not a follow up on the K3III but just a complete new under-water-video-camera

I really don't have any love for the K3 Mark 3 but when I saw the mirrorless , I snorted my coffee up my nose and couldn't whip my wallet out fast enough!
