Despite their reps saying nothing to us in inquiries today, the clock has rolled and US preorders are now open at B&H and Adorama.

Ok, gang. I'm expecting some great user reviews here. I'll probably wait until the price drops a bit (perhaps later this year?), but it's awfully tempting. The potential improvements in video, although not my main focus, might convince a skeptical spouse with a little one running around the house.

I use the grip on my KP bodies once in a blue moon, In fact, I have used all of the various other grips that I own even less than that. Absolutely no doubt one day, I'll order a silver K3iii grip on a whim and be forever pissed at myself... again

I actually got an email from Adorama at 4 PM US Central Daylight Savings Time but it said " 45 % off " offer and I had to hunt through it to find the pre order offers for the K 3 III

got the Silver Special edition ordered from them no discount on price of course

but it is on " back order " now and they cannot tell me how many if any Adorama will get or where I stand in their line

I had a grip back when I was a Canon user, but before my Rebel died, I had ditched it - it just made my camera too large and massive.
I, personally, will never make that mistake again - I typically don't go through more than one battery a day, and unlike most shooters, I rotate my camera clockwise to take vertical shots, so I gain nothing from the added set of controls - but you get to decide how to spend your money.
