Ordered the silver premium at 5:03pm from BHphoto. No idea how many were in front of me. Checkout took 3 minutes. Adorama's website was having some type of issue where it wouldn't let me log in. Their loss.

As soon as I get mine, if they have any left, I am on the road for a trip across the Southeastern US. I'll know in a day or two if it can handle the demands I'll put it under better than the KP I bought in 2017 did,

for the delivery of those who got the " basic " based on production and shipping time

and for those who ordered the " Specials " 1,000 black, 1,000 silver

how are/were they allocated ?

number per country/region ?

or

first ordered regards of country/region ?

or any other system ?

and how does the vendor decide to distribute to those in line ?

only time will tell

I actually got an email from Adorama at 4 PM central but it said " 45 % off " offer and I had to hunt through it to find the pre order offers for the K 3 III

but it is on " back order " now and they cannot tell me how many if any Adorama will get or where I stand in their line

my order was placed at 4:06 PM according to their acknowledging email to me

Thanks for the heads up, mtkeller! I pre-ordered with Adorama and opted for the silver body. Can't wait to look through that viewfinder and test the autofocus.

Today was a lovely day here today, so I spent an hour or so hanging at a city park which has a railroad mainline on its edge,
and was reminded that my KP needs a fraction of second to focus on a speeding train.
Based on a demo of the K-3iii’s AF.C

this is an area where the K-3iii does really shine .... but it still doesn’t fit into my budget.

I just discovered that if you use PayPal the card is charged at the moment of placing the order......I normally use PayPal for my orders, bummer. So I guess I'll do it the old fashioned way.

used my visa which gives me an extra warranty

2 years but one runs with the Pentax 1 year warranty

I “pre-ordered” a Metabones K-to-Q ‘speed-booster’ adapter from B&H in September 2019. Apparently Metabones has never gotten around to producing them, so periodically B&H tells me they are still waiting, and B&H still haven’t charged my card.

Well technically my PayPal account debits my Visa card so I would think the extra warranty would still be valid since Visa is paying ultimately. Anyhow I pulled the trigger on a black K-3 MkIII.

The only MkIII showing at Ricoh Imaging USA is the special Premium edition with a keep me informed button. None of the other offers were even posted.
