The firmware update process was easier than I expected. Thanks again for the information!

My K1 didn't reset, though either something has changed in the AF algorithm or I didn't set the AF up on my D FA*85/1.4 particularly carefully as I had to recalibrate it. I will be checking all my AF lenses now for calibration.

Please let us know the outcome. After doing a firmware update on a previous camera, I found that my lenses needed to be re-calibrated as the optimal AF Fine Adjustment settings had changed.

Well, I've been pretty lazy the past few days, but I have checked the DFA* 85/1.4, DFA*50/1.4 and 31/LTD, and all three needed some adjustment, all the same direction, but somewhat varying amounts.
If you've updated your camera, at least the K1, check your AF offsets. I can't speak to any other bodies.

I really find adjusting focus a chore. Paranoid my lenses might be off now...

Updated the K-1. Focusing seems a little faster and more decisive using the 43LTD. Will check if focus adjustments need to be redone next.

Thanks,

Sorry. It's not one of my favourite things either.

I probably wouldn't have noticed at all except my DFA*85/1.4 was suddenly not quite what I was used to. It's one of my very few lenses I tend to use at wide apertures.

I suspect if I used it the way I use most of my other glass I'd have never seen the problem. Two stops down and DOF will cover the error.

Updated the KP yesterday. I wish this update included some new features. I still feel the KP got short shrift with firmware enhancements over the years.
