Better than the fight going on over the new Sony A1, where those on Sony Pro Support are getting their orders fulfilled first despite other pre-orders being ahead of them on the lists. (The sour grapes is because apparently Sony didn't advise that this would happen.)

I'd like to order however, I'll just have to wait till I have the money. Such a fine piece of equipment. It's truly a Jedi Pentaxian's dream to have one.

That's still the only date I see mentioned for the US. Japan appears to be a week earlier, and I'll guess the Chinese too? I'd read somewhere recently that Ricoh/Pentax is making a push for the China market.

I wonder how the premium kits will be allotted? Would there be predetermined fixed subsets of those 1000 per continent/region/country (with 50% remaining in Japan or so), or would this be decided only as pre-orders started coming in?

My pre-order was most certainly the first at the major B&M photography store here in Antwerp, Belgium. They used to have a very good relation with the Belgian distributor in the Pentax days, that ensured they could deliver always. I don't know how things have evolved with Ricoh doing their own distribution now, and more and more business going through stores that rely more on on-line than on-street presence. Fingers crossed. Pentax is not that popular in Belgium...

only a limited few have used some variant of the K 3 III to produce pre release reviews

a few people have gotten theirs in japan as of a couple days ago. price on amazon jumped up to 2199.

Amazon has had it there for most of the time they’ve been taking preorders. Don’t know why. Makes me hope that their release date of next week is wrong and that Adorama and B&H will be able to ship this week. 🤞🏻

I think that the K-3 Mark III makes a significant advancement over the K-3 and K-3 II.

anything similar on K-3 III vs KP?
I know it's oranges to apples, and I don't need any of the pro K-3 features, just wondering if it's a big step up in AF-C performance with old/cheap lenses.
