I own a K-3 II, so I looked at the K-3 Mark III from that perspective.

From what I understand, the KP offers several advantages over the K-3, including improved noise characteristics at higher ISO settings. I haven't done a thorough assessment, though.

You really just need to be patient until some of our KP using members get time shooting the K3 III for real-use comparisons. Specs are not dependable pronosticators of "the experience".

What is in the kit deal?

So far, European preorders are either house only or house + grip. The one thing keeping me from preordering is that I am holding out for a kit offer with a lens included. Since I killed my DA* 16-50mm F2.8 back in 2017, I have made do with a Tamron 28-75 as my walkaround lens. But... I would like some sort of upgrade, really.

Many members can’t afford to purchase both a K-3iii and a nice lens at the same time.
Personally, if I purchase any “APS-C” body right now, I would plan to use either the 18-135mm or the 20-40mm ltd lens I already have.

Well - there are customers for the premium kit, and I am sure there will be customers for a kit deal including a lens. Judging from history, such an offer should come along before too long.

The question is whether my patience will hold! I have been wanting to buy this camera since the first rumours began, more than a year ago. As for right now I missed the first batch anyway, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for now, which keeps them off the "add to shopping cart" button. For a while at least!

frankly

since the standard battery grip for the K 3 III is black

the premium edition for the black only gets you the leather strap, extra battery and special box

that is why I pre-ordered the Silver Premium edition

Yeah, I really wish that they would make those available to all purchasers globally. I would even pay a little bit for shipping, since I suspect that's the reason they're only offering them in Japan.
