(You collect a form from the retailer, and have to visit the customs desk at the airport when leaving - they sight the goods, and stamp the form. You then post this back to the retailer, and they credit your credit card with the relevant amount.)

Yes, visitors from outside the EU. But you depend on the store's cooperation. Most retail stores would cooperate, of course. Some stores even advertize that they do...

I'd think visitors and expats probably can, yes. However in that case, one is also supposed to pay VAT/sales tax in the country of residence.

Obviously "supposed" is the operative word here, so one may also "forget" and be able to save a bit there.

Personally, I've had a strained relationship with the Canadian customs, so I try to keep on the straight and narrow with these things.

Blacks dropped the price to 500 this weekend and I see today the site below is listing it at $470 plus "normal" Cdn taxes. For Canucks - resistance is futile.

It's only £299 body only from Park Cameras which is less than $400 euro's at current exchange rate (I think!)
