Otherwise intriguing suggestions.
Neither. Those are known advantages of optical stabilisation. Their ranking doesn't have the same degree of certainty.

You seem to be saying that the FA43 isn't a pro-grade lens and only DA* lenses are pro-grade? If so, I disagree. An FA43 certainly isn't a "light and cheap" lens (cw the plastic fantastic or another plastic lens)

The patent applications (plural, there are four of them) are for 24x36 lenses. Put together these four patent applications include 36 numerical examples, all of them covering the 24x36 format, of which 20 are 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 SR lenses.
OK. I was struggling a bit with the Google translation of the Japanese and I've never looked at a lens patent before, so the "24x36" part didn't leap out at me.

Y 21.64 21.64 21.64 21.64 21.64 21.64 means the radius of the image circle is equal to 21.64mm at the specified focal lengths.

What do you think is the point of doing so much R&D (albeit very preliminary) to patent many lens designs that actually belong to the same class?

Protection against competition. Probably not a lot of expense yet.
