The biggest news here is that Ricoh paid for a piece of US oriented advertising.

Awesome that they highlighted the edge-extract focus peaking. Matthias Burling is the only other person I've seen show it off and it's a great feature.

Pretty positive review. Makes me wish I already had this to check out. Using two polarizers when shooting thin rock with a microscope was pretty neat also. Never heard of pixel focusing before.

Nice to see Ricoh/Pentax dropping some money with DPReview. This is a very nice promotional that has me intrigued more than a little. Pixel focusing? IR Mode? Fascinating.

Watch the video...it is a form of focus peaking (a.k.a. edge-extract focus peaking).

The next issue is availability. In Australia, the K3iii was sold out before it even arrived. New stock due June 3.

In the US, I see B&H has the black body in stock, but not the silver body or the black premium kit. It lists the silver premium kit as Discontinued, though in Australia it is due June 3 with the others.

So I guess the higher profile this time is working! May it long continue.

IR mode was discussed in the B&W customization section. I suspect it’s a simulated it preset for jpg.

The pixel focus peaking seemed similar to the KP edge mode.

Good to see that pixel focussing is in the k3iii. The Ricoh GXR has this and was the most handy tool for that camera. Now I'm craving on having a Katie!

The Mk III has two different Live View focus peaking modes One is Extract Edge which is very precise and can be used with manual focus or autofocus and the other is the usual Highlight Edge mode that the K-3 Mk I had. i played around with the Extract Edge mode this morning and found it really precise and with the monochrome image it uses you only see the the precisely focused edges when focusing. It's really nice.
