But there's no mention of it there now.

Perhaps they jumped the gun. I can't find anything on Google about a Pentax 55mm f/1.4 SDM either.

Oh.. well, I saw it in the roadmap 6 months ago. I was hoping for a photo and a write-up. doh.

good protait photos are free ad for their camera, they have to understand this

Also waiting for that DA*55 even though I already have the FA50 f/1.4

I find that I use the FA50 far more often than the DFA100 for portraits though I do use both - I prefer the working distance of the FA50 most of the time - but sometimes it is nice to use the DFA100 too for more distant work - and the 100 really does make a nice f/2.8 portrait lens too IMO.

I've got the DA21 and FA31 coming soon so when the DA*55 is out I plan to get the 55 for the SDM. This will give me 21,31,55,100. A nice prime lens line-up IMO though I can't complain about 21,31,50,100 either - after all 5mm is not much difference at all but I am hoping that the new * lens will have significantly better AF performance and if it is a little better than the FA50 at apertures larger than f/2 it should be amazing and worth an upgrade.
