I thougth about that as well. Ricoh rely on Tamron continuing production for the 24-70 and 15-30. Tamron currently showing efforts turned towards FE mount lenses, if Tamron discontinue the 24-70 / 15-30, Ricoh would have to buy stock for the long term, or just design their own lenses. That said, after 4 (or 5) years experience with the K1, my dream lens kit to have permanently in camera bag is almost complete: 70-210 f4, 28-105 f5.6, and waiting for the 21 lld. The 70-210 can be replaced by a 70-300 f5.6 no problem.
