Yes. During the Covid lockdown she needed to make her own album cover so a friend loaned her the Mamiya. She liked shooting film so much she ordered the Pentax from Japan.

She's not kidding about getting into photography, is she?! Most first-timers would have picked a low-end Canon or Nikon DSLR and left it in full auto mode... but not our Katie. No, she goes straight for the Pentax 6x7!! You go, girl!!

On further reflection, it occurs to me that Katie and I have a lot in common -- we both like her music, and we both shoot Pentax. Alas, I'm happily married.

I first heard her in the mid-2000's while listening to BBC online, and bought Piece by Piece shortly thereafter. I really enjoy her stuff. The quirky Mary Pickford is always a fun listen.

She's played in Ottawa, but hasn't been back to this part of the world in a while. I'd love to see her in concert. Maybe I should visit Europe again...

No surprise. There are more Pentax 6x7 and Pentax 67 videos on youtube than videos about Pentax digital cameras.

The photo in the article was taken by her with her Pentax 67, it seems, but when you click to enlarge it, it's in a very low resolution.
