It's like an ex-lover who keeps showing up places

Was at the local camera shop last week looking at a used 16-45, and the sales rep I was talking to said the 'new' Pentax rep had been in the week before - and had brought a copy of the 60-250 with him.

He said it was very sweet - They tried it on a K20D they had on display, and he liked the SDM and the sharpness quite a bit. I could tell he was very impressed, and he was a Canon guy who generally turns up his nose at Pentax stuff and tries to steer people from it. (wish I had been there.)

So this lens is back on the very periphery of my radar again, I guess... *^*^*(&(*&*&%.

I so didn't need to hear that, right after I just hit the buy now button on a 50-135 :-(

I already said my part, I'm not waiting on this lens anymore, it has the perfect focal length if it is sharp wide open but even then there are other options and the delay means the events I would have used this at ( Trinidad carnival, jazz fest etc ) will be over before I see it on my K20D. A 50-135 or sigma 70-200 it is.
Holy Crap!! You're from Trinidad, my parents are from Trinidad!! I'd love to get back there for Carnival, lens or no lens. I think the 50-135mm would be more appropriate for that venue though.

I just can't see that big mofo as a walk-around lens, I am thinking outdoor sporting events would be the best and only application of that lens for me, but thats just me.

Actually the 60-250 is the perfect lens for carnival here, can get both full body and tight head shots with out moving. Yes its a big lens but guys carry 300mm f2.8's to shoot from the stands
