One more question. Is any restriction on brand of camera or lens? Obviously Pentax/Pentax is fine, but other odd combos may come up… Examples: Sony body, Pentax lens. Pentax body, Sigma lens. Yashica m42 body, Takumar lens…

There are no gear restrictions.

Let the games begin!

A perverse side of me hopes the winner uses a Q with an adapted 55mm m42.

Nice idea. Very nice price too. Just a question: If there are no gear restrictions, how could the focal length of the frame be determined?

Wide open spaces? Can you specify exactly what that means? Does that mean a wide open aperture, open field, something else entirely?

Just a single exposure? Or, could I stitch a panorama for even wider open spaces?

Our minds think alike. I assumed stitching is allowed… but good to ask.

I assume honor and the Exif? The real focal length is the only restriction, perhaps an image of the gear setup is a good idea of Exif isn’t available (adapter lenses on some systems for example). I think personal honesty is about the only real gate on this one.

Don't tempt me, I'm already considering getting a Q for lunar and planetary imaging.

It is indeed as the small text above and below is meant to show. Lol. My friend’s wife referred to me as Satan due to my uncanny ability to talk her hubby into going to lunch when he brought more sensible food that was cheaper and on his diet with him.

I can’t help it. I’m charming and persuasive.

The idea is to portray something vast that might normally require a wide-angle lens, without using one

And in this spirit I would personally stay away from panoramas and composites, but it's up to you!

That makes sense. Thank you for clarifying things for me.
