It would be in Pentax's interest to make some sort of announcement, either yea or nay. If they don't then some Pentaxians will move camp rather than sit around and wait and hold off buying new lenses. as I am. If it's coming within a reasonable time (maybe 12 months) I will wait.

Penatx has little to no interest in Western style public relations. Most of their interviews, and press releases are in Japanese, and they take weeks to get translated. All the while the confusion builds.

I am wondering how many members have actually left Pentax to get FF elswhere. I can think of three or four of the active posters, I wonder how many I missed of the not so wordy?

I dunno. I have a lot of money in the Pentax ASP-C equipment and I'm satisfied with the picture quality.

So...no...I'm not prepared to get involved in a FF system.

The DFA 100 macro WR may have been exactly that.

I love the K10D / K20D body. It is man sized and fits my hand well especially with the grip attached. It would be a fantastic upgrade to have a full frame sensor or even the same cropped sensor but with the auto focus of the K7.

Actually, the grip of the K-7 is larger and fit big hands much better.

does anyone want me to edit the title of this thread to read 2010 or 2011 or 2012?

Please don't. The concept of an FF K20D is just for people stuck in the past, so they'll just get confused

Or maybe they think FF will make them better photographers.

This thread will remain open as a testament to the stoicism of the Pentax whiners.

Ooh, I should vote "yes" for FF in 2009! Maybe if that gets enough votes, Pentax will see to it having been done last year, and by now the price will have dropped enough for me to afford one.

I hope it doesn't disrupt the space-time continuum too much and retroactively cause the K-7 to cease to exist, though, because if I can't afford that FF K20d, then I'm sure to still want the K-7's certain-to-be-improved successor, with its greatly improved sensor and AF.

Maybe I should vote for that K-7+ to be introduced at the end of last year too, so the prices can have started to drop already.

It would make me a better Pentax low-light wide angle photographer: It would turn the Sigma 24 f/1.8 into a wide angle lens.

Yes, there are advantages but if that was really what you felt you needed then you should have switched to a brand that did produce FF DSLR's. How long have you been waiting for a Pentax FF? Seems a bit masochistic to me

I don't think switching is necessary: I can use one wide lens and a FF camera from another company (that stinks at the telephoto end)... But better is always better and I'd buy a 35mm Pentax DSLR for $2000.
