It doesn't matter if present staff can manage it to happen or not,
this is a poll to see what you think, just vote if you want it happen soon or not.

Some of the 6400 photos of the D700 made me a believer of FF.

I hope by the time I am ready to pick up a used 5D or D700, a couple release cycles from now, Pentax is ready to announce a FF body. IF a low end FF drop close to the high end APS camera level by then I rather stick with Pentax.

No for me. I like APS C just fine. I also don't think it will happen. Maybe a 645D will happen to try to recapture the pros (and high end consumers) that used to use the 645 format.
My vote just tied it at 106-106. Interesting. This far in and still a perfect 50/50. This vote certainly isn't screaming to Pentax for a full frame camera in a 35mm form factor.
Merry Christmas to all,
Brian

Yes - even I don't plan to get any FF right now, but it is soon or late it will be.

I can't vote on this poll because while I would buy one, I couldn't do it at this time.
I can't vote either. If i do go FF, it will be the D700, or at least up to today. Tomorrow could bring something different.

My 2 cents worth.

1. Full Frame is necessary if Hoya/Pentax want to survive (and in fact thrive)
- in a few years FF will be the normal for DSLRs

2. Expect the market to shrink to 4 manufacturers of DSLRs, one won't be olympus

3. Samsung should buy Hoya/Pentax and keep the branding and make it their optics division
- not like Samsung can't do that with their small change - they are freakin huge
(If that happens lets see a big management style change as well!)
1.true,I can handle myself with crop but the next thing that will be hot is ff, even if we like it or not.
and when the price goes down on ff
pentax should be there and pick upp customers.

I have full frame already - 35mm film.

I have bigger than full frame - 6X6 medium format.

Full frame digi? If the price is reasonable - maybe.

I voted NO on a FF K20D, I would have voted a YES if the option were a Digital Medium Format.

APS-C and the DMF would be a good combo eventually.

Nikon and Canon have FF Digital 35 if that's what you're interested in, what they don't have (either of them) is a Digital Medium format.

That would make more sense financially from Pentax than to chase C or N in markets where C and N seem to dominate that segment. Pentax will always be in catch-up mode without ever catching up (which they will NEED to do in order to have any R&D actually pay off)

It is likely to go full frame with the FF sensor becoming cheaper. 1 year's time perhaps. All speculation.

The most likely new camera would be km body in pink with butterfly ribbons for Valentine's day.

I don't see a FF Pentax DSLR anytime soon, with the amount of crop sensor lenses they've been cranking out.

Since I wanted to try out FF, I was down to the D700 or a used 1Ds Mark II. While a lot of the high ISO shots posted on forums from the D700 wowed me, what I saw personally from a friend's D700 was not as impressive as I expected. So I got me a 1Ds2 to see what all the noise is about. If it completely blows me away I probably will move over to Canon; if not I will stick around and see what Pentax comes up with next. The main gripe I have with the K20D is autofocus performance.

There should have been a 3rd option - "I don't care"

It makes no sense to me - All this buzz/concern about a FF Pentax when the #1 true complaint in general seems to be about focusing issues (AF/FF/BF). I can only imagine a FF Pentax would be all that much worse with the current focusing issues still present. 24 MP of focus hunting fun... yay.
