Great, you're right...
Do you think people who has A or FA lenses want to have a FF or on the contrary,
someone who collects A or FA lenses is already looking forward to have FF camera?

On the other hand I have good news for DA owners, in the case of FF camera world.
DA 10-17mm works fine @15-17mm,
Sigma 10-20mm works @ 14-20mm.
DA 200mm is FF OK, too.

Yes, I would buy it if it would be available in 2009. But no, I do not think that will happen. Not in 2009.
Let's assume that it did happen... If it were available right now, click on what your decision would be? Please don't forget to vote at top of the page!

I can't vote on this poll because while I would buy one, I couldn't do it at this time.

Depends on the price and how the upcoming Pentax cropped-sensor viewfinders compare. Also depends on how much better ISO and dynamic range.
I assume there is nothing extra over K20D, sensor is different only.

Yea it really depends on the price. I would buy one if it was around $2,500. I just recently bought the K20D and I am very happy with it.

I have seen some digital boys bought analog FF camera lately, and some others sold their all Pentax equipment to move D700 world.

I wonder if there are more people feeling sad that Pentax has no digital FF camera yet.

Or we Pentaxians are mostly "outdoor photographers" with light, small, weather resistant cameras and also (I think) GPS Tracker is on the way...

If it has enough resolution to get good crops for DA lenses, why not. It would mean at least 21-24MP. And of course, well below 2000$.

Or you will have to use tele side of your DA lenses...
It would be easy turning to cropped cameras from FF,
then the lenses in the bag would get a kind of free TCA (teleconverter)...

A or FA.

Can't say for everybody, I would. All but 1 of my lenses are M or FA.
I will be comfortable with my lenses acting the way they were designed to act.
I also don't be leave in the common mantra that FA 50mm/1.4 on the APS-C is the same as FA as 85/1.4 on FF

I have mostly A-lenses (a few FA in there). I'm not interested in FF until it drops below $500. Which means, most likely, never. But the K20D will be there before too long.

Where's the poll option..."Yes, I will buy it if it comes out in 09, but won't buy it until the price has dropped significantly"?

What about those of us who don't buy DAs because we already use M/A/FAs on full frame and crop?

I used film Pentaxes for nearly twenty years, so I would like to have a FF Pentax. Also, I have a big line up of K and A and FA lenses ranging from 15/3,5 to 600/5,6, including 200/4 macro and 77 limited, so I would like to have a FF Pentax.

But I don't believe there is a market for a FF Pentax.

So, while I would buy a 2500$ Pentax FF (but only when I would find one used for much less, because new digital cameras loose value too fast), I don't believe we'll ever see one. And that is not making me happy.

Yes my dear friend, I think so... that's why I'm looking forward to FF.

I want to ask other friends if (and how) they are happy when they get same FOV but unreal DOF for that FOV?

neither K20D nor some analog cameras are below $500 at the moment. You will have to wait too long... I wish it won't take longer than 730 days or so.

No, as:

1) There will be no FF in 2009
2) It will NEVER be called K20D Super. And it will NEVER be called KxxD. It's a KxD specs.
