Oh well... just goes to show you how worthless these rumors are. So much for automatic geotags! All this goes to prove is that "Pentax is not in the black!"
best line I've seen on this forum in a long time.

Was that the news?
"Pentax announces K2000 in white".
That's the "future of Pentax"?
What a let down.

1. Chic but are DSLRs going down the path of mobile phones now?
2. Everyone knows Barbie loves pink.

No more building up expectations with such a let down, please.

There's 5 threads and polls specifically about the white K-M.

Need more stormtrooper jokes!

In all seriousness, I remember all the derision in computer forums when the first iMac was unvielded. I bet we see a lot more DSLRs in colors other than black in the near future. The white K2000D will draw attention when sitting on the shelf. For every serious photographer laughing at it (the same people who would never buy entry level to begin with, and think APS-C is for newbs), there are several casual snapshooters who might like it - and would probably have never looked at a Pentax to begin with. The matching lenses were a great idea - too bad my DA limiteds will look a little odd on it, but I might get one anyway just to help enable my 'stealth' mode.

I actually want that white K-m just to show up everyone who thinks only big black DSLRs are able photographic tools. I'm pretty sure it will also come in handy with getting chicks to notice me. Hahaha.

And, like some others have mentioned, the better part of the white color scheme is that a lot of people would feel less threatened by a white DSLR, which would come in handy for casual portraits.
