All depends on what people will pay. The BIN prices are higher than that, but I dunno if they're actually moving. Some people will go for a BIN rather than a bid just for the convenience factor.
I just checked the completed listings...they're bid up to about $50 w/ a lot of uncompleted BIN listings.
It's too bad the bundle isn't for the W60. That'd be one worth getting, even if you had to keep it...

Ah well, just bought the three-in-one deal. Will give the A40 to my girlfriend (whose old Canon PowerShot just died) for Christmas. Mom (whose S2IS also just died) is getting my K100D. Sweet deal.

I did the same thing on Black Friday for analogous reasons - I got a K20D with kit lens (which goes to my daughter), bag (also to daughter) and A40 (to my son-in-law) and the K20 to . . . . . me.

Merry Christmas,

Jer

K20D is back down to $714.80. Shoulda waited a week.

I wrote Amazon CS to ask for a price adjustment/credit, but I understand they stopped doing that a few months ago, so I'm not too hopeful.

I just purchased one from Amazon at that price, however Adorama had a pre-Christmas deal for the Body, extra battery and a Slinger case for 699.00, now they are up to 800.00 for the body alone!

Interesting. The price for the body alone sold and shipped from Amazon has remained $742 since Black Friday (when a Optio A40 and gadget bag were thrown in for "free"); sold from Adorama through Amazon, the body is $704. On the Adorama site, the price is $744 for the body.

Trivial differences, but interesting nonetheless. I'm wondering if the websites have an algorithm that adjusts price as volume sold moves up or down?? Any marketing gurus know the scoop?

Jer
Dell changes their prices by the hour. We've all learned to watch their prices near the end of the month and the end of the quarter and drop the CC when we see what we want.

Amazon also changes their prices if too many people hit a product page...they figure it's been put on a "bargain" site...

big bump

The price for a K20D body is $849.99 at adorama today. Quite a bump, I wonder what's going on? The price is $714.80, direct from amazon.

Looks that way - I got 2 days to make a decision and 800+ isn't going to be it.
