That's correct Ricoh is a copier company here and the last place you'd look for cameras, lenses, binoculars or any other optical equipment. On its own PENTAX may stand a better chance than RICOH, I don't care as long as they keep going, I have 3 cameras, the K200D, K7 and K70 with no problems, on the other hand I would not buy a lens with an SDM motor once an item gains a bad reputation its better to dump it and replace it with a new publicised product.

Thinking back to Zeiss's 1936 Contax which should have wiped the floor with Leica because of its specification but its shutter was faulty they kept trying to fix it, the Contax is gone but Leica kept under Leitz management until fairly recently soldiered on to this day even if it is a niche market.

Maybe with its decision not to go mirrorless is an indication that Pentax is trying to develop a niche market of its own, who knows ?

What year was this? 2023? 2024? It's September 5th, and I don't see any change. No Pentax only webshop.

"Until September 5" usually *includes* that day. Let's wait until tomorrow at least

I could still log in [on 6 Sept.] and access my account. Should I actually delete it?

Have you tried to order something? If you send a message, is there anybody to respond? Can we still buy something from Ricoh or have they pulled the plug without telling anyone? That's really weird.

Something is changing on the Belgian- Dutch ricoh-imaging.eu/be_nl/ site: some links like refurbished are not responding anymore or yield a page not found error...
And there is now a pentax.eu site yielding only a login.... looks like a transition is ongoing.

If you look carefully on the Z1 picture, there is a small camera symbol below the WiFi symbol, that's the new Pentax camera I'd waiting for.

No, I didn't, and wouldn't try in case it would become obsolete.

"We offer a 5€ flat rate shipping to orders under 50€ within the EU.
All orders over 50€ quality for free shipping."

you do a checkout, and you realise it's not the whole EU

@sundown - it never was whole EU. Only few selected countries. Irritating.

Delivery to Spain cost me 10€ in shipping, 3 months ago. I think it's only free/5€ shipping if you are ordering from one of the countries with specific stores (DE, FR, UK and the Benelux), because they only ship from those countries .

You can at least order to Spain. There is no way to order to Poland.
