Today I'm very excited to announce that the Pentax K-3 III eBook has been completed, and is just around the corner: it will be available right here on the forum in one week, on September 12th!

Pentax K-3 Mark III: The Ultimate Guide, as the name implies, is meant to be a comprehensive guide to help you get the most out of your K-3 III camera. It focuses on practical use cases and real-word trips, and is thus the perfect supplement to the highly verbose owner's manual.

Update: the eBook is now available! Purchase and download here

This is the first new eBook since Yvon Bourque, the author of all prior Pentax eBooks, passed away in 2020. Bernard ( @bdery , the primary author of the new eBook) and I hope to honor his legacy by continuing making these kinds of eBooks available to the Pentax community. Writing this eBook has been a significant undertaking, and we look forward to your feedback and enjoyment of the book.

A new set of authors means a new approach: this 160+ page PDF eBook is suitable for viewing on a PC or Tablet, and has been enhanced with digital-friendly features such as a native table of contents, clickable links between chapters/sections, and links to useful external resources and guides on the forum. The book can also be printed on letter sized or A4 paper.

We also plan to regularly update the eBook with new tips and tricks, lens and accessory resources, and changes related to camera firmware updates. The community's feedback is always welcome via the contact form.

How to Purchase

The K-3 III eBook is available directly on the forum as an instant PDF download.

Proceeds from the eBook will help support ongoing updates and the development of eBooks for future models.

Where does the K3III-EBOOK25 go? When I click credit card it takes all of the information then says "pay Now" without giving me any place to put the discount code. I am wary about hitting the pay now button while it shows full price without the discount.

Go back to the main page and you'll see the coupon box at the bottom. Once the code is entered, the prices will be updated and then you will be able to proceed with the checkout at the discounted price.

Yes, it's definitely not obvious. You have to scroll all the way down and look for a little box, before going to the payment page (where you would normally expect to see a coupon box).

I bought the e book from the first version and I found it very useful and handy. For convenience I also made a PDF print of the e-book myself, I still read easier from paper than from the computer screen.
However, when changing the various chapters over time, it has become confusing; the page numbering, for example, is no longer correct if you want to reprint and insert certain parts. to print. Is it not possible to come up with something about this? Now you almost always have to reprint everything if there are substantial changes in the text.

You can simply ignore the page numbers and refer to section paragraph numbers, reprinting those that change. That is how legal reference volumes often worked. Volumes were in ring binders. Updates came as onion skin pages that required replacement within said binders. There were no page numbers.
