BJ-11 was registered on the 31
st of May, 2018 in South Korea. The Ricoh GR III was announced on the 22
nd of February, 2019,
nine months after the registration of its battery charger.
D-BC177 was announced on the 27
th of August, 2020 and released on the 30
th of November. The Pentax K-3 Mark III was announced on the 31
st of March, 2021,
seven months after the announcement of its battery charger.
D-BC183 was registered on the 11
th of March, 2021 in Russia. The Ricoh WG-80 was announced on the 19
th of May, 2022,
fourteen months after the registration of its battery charger.
It so happens that the K-3 Mark III was announced within 20 days of our learning about a new charger (D-BC183)... that had nothing to do with this camera. I'm inclined to consider this as a mere coincidence.
Considering the above-described pattern, a new (mid-range?) camera using the D-LI109 battery might be announced within nine months to a year.
