It really isn't priced that high for a limited edition model. The regular K-3 III retails at 1696 on B and H Photo, while this 1799. Obviously a hundred dollars is a hundred dollars, but it certainly isn't a huge difference.

The ones I've seen in Europe are exactly the same price, so an even better deal.

Only if you buy from Ricoh / at MSRP, no? It's (the standard K-3 III) been available from other reputable sellers for 15% off of that for a long time already, although not right now, I admit.
