Some Pentax K-3 Mark III Jet Black Edition cameras will be sold in Europe

It seems a limited number of Pentax K-3 Mark III Jet Black Edition cameras will be sold in Europe.

- CyberPhoto (Sweden) should receive 5 pieces at the end of September:

Pentax K-3 Mk 3 Jet Black Limited Edition available in Sweden: Pentax SLR Talk Forum | Digital Photography Review

- a UK retailer is expected to receive 60 pieces according to asahi man:

Pentax K-3 Mk 3 Jet Black Limited Edition available in Sweden: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

- 10 pieces are expected to make their way to Italy:

The total production might be around 300 pieces, including probably the 119 ordered on the Japanese crowdfunding platform Ubugoe. (Remember that their was a cap of 232 pieces on Ubugoe, which wasn't reached.)

Exactly what I was expecting.
Pentax is not limiting themselves to Japanese money, if Western money is available, but they wanted to see if enough Japanese money is around to make it profitable.

Some are coming to the Netherlands as well. But the HD DA 20-40mm is only available in Japan. Which makes it not interesting to buy the jet black version, because it is not the complete set they offered.

The Swedish ones reportedly include the DA 20-40.

That’s correct; Pentax K-3 III hus + DA 20-40/2.8-4 ED Limited DC WR, Jet Black - limited edition | CyberPhoto

And Cyberphoto appears to sell to customers in Sweden only.

The Dutch seller inquired for me, but Ricoh stated to them that the 20-40 is exclusively available in Japan for those who ordered the kit in the crowdfunding.

So what kit will be available in Europe?
How much ‘lost’ without the ‘special’ {looking} lens.

What surprises me is that in Sweden the Jet Black Version sold (so they say) with the 20-40 will be sold for 700 Swedish Crowns more than the current body price, which seems ridiculous because the 20-40 usually costs about € 899,00 ($899,00). So I like to think that Cyberphoto made a mistake and like the other dealers in Europe just gets a body without the lens. I do not think that Ricoh will give you for almost free the 20-40mm when you buy the jet black. If it would have been the complete set (as stated the 232 sets are not available seperately) than I like to have that combo, but a standard black (or silver) lens would look ridiculous on that Jet Black camera, I think.

If I compare the links with the photographs of the Jet Black in Czech Republic and in the Netherlands all pictures are without the lens, as are the pictures on SRS where it is explicitly stated that it is body only. Only on CyberPhoto there are some pictures you find on this forum as well.

Asahi Man does not know that the UK is part of Europe .

Now, I was not expecting this.
I don’t see any point of selling a special-looking camera body without offering a matching lens.

The point is the same as if you consider all other coloured SLR / lenses, and then you find that the "colour compliance" is always more or less limited.

To some degree, if there is only one lens to go with it, its not anymore a (D)SLR , cosmetically speaking...

I imagine there’ll be a (small) cottage industry offering to convert any lens to jet black, perhaps even bodies. The sort of thing that used to be offered here for silver anodising of older lenses.

Nice. The jet black looks good, but not as good as the gunmetal K-3 they did a few years back.
