I don't think it's such a bad thing, they probably shared the lens design, but how significant is that I wonder if the limiteds are made by Pentax in the same tradition as the others bearing the same name. So long as the image quality resulting from the design is "limited" level, it deserves the title, IMHO, and with all due respect to all those who think otherwise.

And besides, how significant is this lens anyway? I don't see too many buying it, thinking it's "too short" for macro, that thinking is justified unless you have use for a macro of this FL (copy, flower, small still life). My DFA50 is short enough for me, for the long end I want something much longer than 100mm, not important though so I'm good.

It'll most certainly appeal to those who got into Pentax for the "pancake" set of new limiteds... now the range is somewhat more complete.

I'm not interested in this lens (or the Pentax equivalent at all), only the FA35mm IF it's an F/1.8 or similar.
