It is you who is making the assumption that there are no adjustments made simply based on what was written in the past. I merely point out that neither you nor anyone else can possibly know if it is the case now. No need to get so defensive.

That's not what you suggested or you shouldn't have quoted my previous post (either possibility). I was only pointing to what he did (what he said he did to be exact). It doesn't, indeed, imply he did the same this time.

But the way you replied, indicated that for you, 'processed with PS CS3' meant he fiddled with it. Which we dunno either.

A lot of lenses this wide have curved horizons and this provides just about a nice straight perspective - nice

I will buy DA15 in any case, if even this lens will have good corners only at f8.
Small with low distortion, good color and contrast, 15 mm.
Enough for me.

I read DA15/4 and thought that sounded exciting. Then I saw the pics and it reminded me that it's the opportunity, the photographer, the composition, the light that make good pictures. Not the lens. This looks like it could have come from a camera phone. Just a snap, as my Grandad would have said. Although I'd still like to own the lens. I'm glad I am reminded now and then that there's (far) more to it.

Like the first page of examples on this thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/24545-why-i-lo...mm-f1-4-a.html ranging from high end fashion to a picture of some sand. The lens may help. But it won't get you there on its own.

Me too - finally a prime lens good for architecture.

Don't forget the DA12-24 shouldn't have much distortion at 15mm either.

The DA12-24 has very little distortion even on 12mm. But a fixed focal lens is different from a zoom ... contrast, sharpness etc.

No problem — you cleverly said you couldn't think of one. I'm sure your wife knows that you are always forgetting to think of things which she knows you really ought to remember.

Matt, I will be PM-ing you for help the next time my wife stymies my plans with logic and accurate recollections of past conversations.

I prefer to shoot with primes. Just my preference, not a subject for debate

Ned has since stated in his blog that he made no corrections to his images except for using CS3 to convert the raw files.

Color and contrast are very good, but it seems to me that it's not sharp.
It is not the lens is the photographer!!!!!!!!

I love the new DA Limiteds. So very small - they remind me of M-mount primes.
