So, last year, Pentax's K20D (and etc.) announcement came the Wednesday a week and a day before PMA. This year, that'd be either (a week and a day) February 23rd or (Wednesday before) 25th.

I thought K20D announced on Jan 23rd 2008? That 1-23-08 date seems to have stuck with me. Are you sure it was 2-23-08 when K20D announced?

K20D got down to $712 for a bit then popped up to $729 for this weekend. I noticed its hard to find dealers with the 2 year extended warranty info included with the K20D. If it drops below my $689 prior purchase I might buy a 2nd one and let go of my 6mp K Mount pair to recover some of the outlay.

PMA was a month earlier last year, for some reason.

Voigtlander SLII 20/3.5. Minimum focusing distance .2m. For Nikon and Pentax, not yet announced though.

Forget it. K20D already hit the bottom. If you remember the price curve of the K10D before it was discontinued.

Ordered one at the local camera shop the other day for my D80

Regarding Pentax - weren't there rampant rumours of K20D sightings and advanced user reports months before PMA last year?

Makes me wonder if no new body will be announced, or at least not ready until fall.

I looked up my order confirmation for my K20D last year.
It was Jan 24th 2008.
So, the K20D was announced just a few days before it could actually be ordered. The delivery was some 4 weeks later. That this was about a week before PMA was pure accident.

The rumour about the K20D before its actual announcement was evident.

Also, the K-m was announced at PhotoKina just a couple of weeks before delivery.

I see no significant pre-announcement rumours whatsoever. Just, the wish for it. IMHO, we are to expect a minor upgrade to the K20D only. Like GPS, faster frame rate and better LiveView.

I'm starting to wonder if there is even going to be a new dslr this year. They've got a fair few lenses coming out though in about a week.

Or maybe they'll announce info but not release until the fall?

I just hate all this silence lol and why is ned teasing us with samples from the 15mm ltd yet none from the elusive da* 60-250mm or the da* 55mm lenses

...and how could they tell it from the K10D? They are identical! (unless of course the model label was flashing or something...)

You can order the Da* 55 right now if you want to, Adorama has them in stock. Couple people on the forum already have it.

I'm doubting the new body unless it is MF. I'd prefer to see them actually ship the 15ltd (highly likely) and also announce an updated lens roadmap.

The Voight 20 looks cool. Wish it was a tad faster though...

I'm picking (if anything) a bunch of lenses and maybe a K300d (which hopefully will have the K20d sensor).

It's also been pretty quiet on the Samsung front. I would speculate that this means no new Pentax body right now.
