What can Pentax offer new in digital era?
Sv and Tav?
What else? :ugh:
In camera RAW was a Pentax first if I'm not mistaken, released on the K10D, If I'm wrong then thats ok, but which model was it introduced on by Oly.
Digital preview is a Pentax first,
colour adjustable LCD screen is a Pentax first,
RAW dedicated button is a Pentax first.
Help button is a Penax first.
Canon introduced AF adjustment to only the Mark III cameras, very expensive. Pentax introduced it to a cheaper market. Also the K200D is the first weather sealed camera in its category, for the masses.
As far as Video go, although it was not first to offer it. You can see clips made by the 5 second Pentax burst mode on the K20D.
YouTube - I Get It Wrong High Res Here is one video shot on the Pentax.
click on High quality when watching.
Also, Do not underestimate how good TAv mode actually is. Its really innovative.
Pentax is the first I believe to introduce RGB histogram to a lower price bracket.
The only company to have rotational correction in SR mode. The first to bring wireless flash control from such cheap cameras.
The green button is still very special.
Hyper program is still special.
Dual motor lenses. screw drive and SDM, Although on that one I would have prefered SDM only lenses across the board.
