That's right, Pentax'd better not come with any new product.

The fact that it has a macro symbol on a dedicated button makes me think this is a bridge camera rather than an EVIL.
And just look at how tiny the viewfinder "hump" is. No way a pentamirror would fit in there.

If it had an electronic viewfinder (a indicated by the EVF/LCD button to the left) then it woudn't require a pentamirror even with a K-mount

I'd like to see the Pentax G1 version than new bridge zoom camera.

It's strange. I don't see any sense to make DSLR like body for camera without hot shoe.
No hot shoe - it's not bridge camera. But, if it's P&S camera - no any sense in such body AT ALL.

Pentax never made hyper-zooms and all bridge camera has hot shoe.
It's neither hyperzoom nor bridge camera. IMO.

I suppose you checked your sources before making such a statement?

I foresee a lot of disappointed people in a couple of days when they'll see this as what it really is: a megazoom, small sensor bridge camera. IMO while I am not personally interested I think IF it will prove a worthy competitor in this segment it's a good move for Pentax.
