Vivitar doesn't make lenses. Only brands them.
List of Manuf. Vivitar used in the "old days"... Note Hoya.

6 Olympus
9 Cosina
13 Schneider Optik
22 Kino (aka Kiron)
25 Ozone Optical
28 Komine
32 Makinon
33 Asanuma
37 Tokina
42 Bauer
44 Perkin Elmer (US)
47 Chinon
51 Tokyo Trading
56 Kyoe Schoji
75 Hoya Optical
81 Polar
Vivitar Lens Manufactuers

Cosina would be a candidate.

No reason Pentax couldn't continue to OEM lenses in a new or K mount.
Tamron, Tokina, Sigma and probably a dozen other companies would all be possibilities...... and there would be no reason to stick w/ any one of them for everything

This is all true. I think just the same..

On the other hand, I don't see the problem!

Very fast fps fills the memorycard very fast, will make it imposible for pentax to use SDHC card becasue of the speed.
The accuricy will be better ( I read a thread about Canon mark II 5d where every 4:th photo become unsharp!! (when do continueing shooting) :S .

.............
Any person that have look it in this way too?

Each frame on a K20D has around 23MB, at 3.5fps it totals around 81MB of data (649Mbits). A fast SD card could write about 25Mbits/s so it would take around 25s to write a full 3.5 burst of date. How big should a buffer be? How cheap are very fast memories? How about current drain on the batteries? Take your own conclusions.
