P.S: Incidentally, wouldn't you be more likely to see a Sasquatch in Saskatchewan ? Now where on earth did I put down my hip-flask of Glenfiddich....hic ?
We call them Big Foot around here but I wasn't sure the international Penataxians would know what I meant.

The guys at my local store told me that Pentax had asked them to stop calling about it.

As jaded I am from the 'silliness' of production to delivery of this one, I can't help but think that could just mean "we [Pentax] told you already it's expected on [some approx date]", no? Not necessarily "forget about it; we dunno".

I would also question the existence of 60-250 f/4 except, and now that Pentax has posted it on their website I suppose my NDA is released...the lens really does exist. I had the phenomenal pleasure of using one LAST SUMMER on my vacation to national parks in the southeastern quadrant of our fair country. While this lens seems to be very VERY slow to come to market, I can definitely tell you that there is at least one extraordinarily sharp, working model of this lens. I took some great images of what a young family of five looks like living out of a minivan for weeks with it.

Be patient all; what choice do we have. You will be rewarded with an amazing lens.

I'm from Saskatchewan, and everyone over 60 lives in Florida. I'm pretty sure the Sasquatch is over 60.

wondering, how do you get to be in a position to have such an opportunity? In the camera sales business or some affiliation w/Pentax USA?
