I didn't think they had April Fool's in France.

At least you know enough about the tech to make it plausible

Does anyone else find it depressing that we've been reduced to making April Fools jokes about our dream Pentax SLR because we've given up all hope of it actually happening? What makes it even worse is that what you described pretty much sums up the Canon 5D MkII (aside from the FPS & face detection). And I bet the Nikon D700x/D800 will be even closer to what you described.

A little less over the top and I... ehm ... somebody could've been fooled.

"... a new 25 point Auto Focus System..." On Pentax? Nobody could've been fooled by this statement along, not even mentioning FF Sensor.

I've also heard the K3D would have automatic backup with rsync over 3G, directly to your server or your Amazon S3 account

Hello Kitty is old. I want a Bakugan model; put the camera on a magnetized card and the lens pops out

Yep, the D700 is pretty darn close. I would prefer a 100% view finder and movie mode, but I can let those slide. Those to gripes aside, the D700 is damn near perfect for an amateur such as myself that doesn't need 20+ megapixels. I've been blown away by my D200 so far, and the D700 is everything the D200 is and more. I just wish I could mount FA Limiteds to it
