Great but that is USD price - Camera Canada has it on pre order for $18,760.00 CDN for the body and a mere $899.00 for the grip (battery not included) - sale price for one week only
$21198.80, plus $1015.87 for the grip.

Total: $22214.67

then there's the extended warranty...

Cheers,

The Sony Alpha900 is not far for this at 24 megapixels for $2500. Given the speed of technology, this setup will be possible before end of this year. Full frame is coming sooner than you think. The fact that lenses are still produced for full frame leads to a strong indication of what is coming. In addition, the price of a full frame body, with 20+ megapixels, is becoming affordable. When the price of a DLSR reaches the $1500 to $2000 range, the demand will drive the market producers to follow the trend the same way the high number of pixels has. It may be an April fool joke today but I remember a few years back when people were ridicule when mentioning video out of a DSLR, more then 10 megapixels and so on.

Exactly. Anyone paying attention can easily see that. Surely the powers that be at Pentax can too; even if they deny it publicly.

I can't believe the real news hasn't been posted here yet.

I'm excited about the following development: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

Pentax Forums is so behind the times.

Agreed on that!

DPR has banned our links, maybe I should also ban theirs

Na, behind the times is DPR's 1993 forum app. Why they don't use vBulletin like virtually every other forum on the internets is beyond me.

But then again, they seem to love awful web design over there. I can think of no other reason why they insist on using white and yellow text on black backgrounds. If you're damn near blind I imagine you'd appreciate the high contrast, but I start going cross-eyed after reading a paragraph or two. Worse yet is the temporary blindness their site gives me after reading a review for a while then looking up away from my computer and seeing what looks like a Christmas tree light bokeh everywhere until my eyes adjust back to normal.

Adam,

I hear ya. He only bans those who he feels creat real competition, so in essence it is a compliment to how good your forums are . We got banned too a couple of times which made me laugh when we were called "a commercial website".

If that is the reason, why the inconsistency in the banning practice... Dr. Phil?

I certainly never see links to Imaging Resource banned.

Then, the Internet will become Innernet, if everyone is doing so!

Their banning practice is in fact very consistent, they banned people who created troubles to them, no matter how.

I had the "Ignore" feature on for April 1 for Ben. I don't know why.

I am surprised that none of you mentioned the 3-axis skyhook technology that holds the camera rock solid rigid without the use of a tripod.
