Pentax k2000/K-m in Fry's CA!!!!!!!!!!!!

now this is so cool!!!!
===============

Today I went to Fry's Electronics (Woodland Hills, CA - Canoga Ave) to get a pack of bulk dvds. After I grabbed the stuff I wanted, I went to the camera section of the store just to see what's new there and I saw......... PENTAX K2000 kit!!! I was so surprised, because I've never seen Pentax in any local store in LA area before!!!
the price is 589 + tax (looks expensive compared to deals online) It comes with 18-55mm kit lens, no flash though !!!! only camera body with lens. I played with it for half an hour and I realized I made the right choice! I fell in love with this little camera!
The first impressions:
1. Focus is fast!!! well, fast enough for me
2. The grip/handling is excellent!
3. Very intuitive menus!!!

PS
I am still waiting for my K2000 double-kit which I ordered from "BeachCamera.com" for 545$ + 26$ shipping.
Cant wait to get it!!!!!!!!!!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Very interesting. I routinely check the Fry's in the Indianapolis, Indiana area for Pentax DSLRs, but they haven't carried them for well over a year or two (at least). Hopefully, they'll roll the inventory throughout the nation.

Hope you enjoy your K2000 when it arrives!

I was at Fry's in Anaheim and also saw a K2000 there. It's a nice body, and looked tiny next to the Canon 50D it was displayed next to. It didn't have a lens on it so I couldn't test it out, but the new menu system is very well done. I had a hard time not buying it!

strange! Fry's clearance sale Pentax equipment last year. That's when I bought the FA50 F/1.4 for $75 from Fry's and now they restock Pentax equipment.

Could you send me some blank DL DVDs too? Please? I'm having the toughest time finding them here.
