I would'nt expect it to, the k-m is £400, the Leica £3000!.

Mind you, I would still not have one in white, unless I was being discreet in the snow.

On the other hand if either were to be in Stockport County Blue, with a small crest on the front....sign me up! :-)

no matter what the colour of leica, that red dot attracts attention like nothing else
you can actually purchase black dots to replace the red ones, although they are hard to find

I kind of like the looks of the white Leica. Haven't made up my mind about the Pentax - something about it is not quite right. Perhaps the big black grip. Dunno.

Why don't we have a camera with lots of bright, shiny chrome? Like an old '57 Chevy?

The Pentax looks like a yummy Ice Cream Bar I want to eat, personally I like it. Add a small black grip on the left side like the K20d has, and I think the looks would be rounded out perfectly. As is, it looks like a coconut pineapple flavored Ice Cream Bar.

I would have the red dot. If you've got it, flaunt it!

57 Chevy, now that would be nice, red with a white grip and plenty of chrome.

Or how about Aston Martin or Jaguar colours(I am british after all), British Racing Green with a subtle amount of chrome in the detailing.......mmmmm Nice!

What's with the white stripes in the hood? I googled around and all images I found were identical. They look like added in PP, but if not, what are they aiming at, extra light in the lens?

Wim, those aren't white stripes in the Leica's hood, they're slots (three in all). Look carefully at the lower right slot, and you can see the base of the camera body through it.

those are 3 see-thru slots/holes, so that the hood won't block the rangefinder viewfinder.

How I wish the up-coming new Pentax body looks like Leica M8, and compliment with pancake lens.

But I still like it though, probably it's prone to paint loss but it looks cool
I wish I can afford it. Maybe in the future.

Don't you guys think that Pentax started all of this color trend first?
It seems now everybody else is trying to follow through.
I won't be surprised if Canon / Nikon will come up with their special color version too these days.

Nope Minolta did, years ago with full system, including flash, in white.
