well the K7 originally was the K30 so is possible.
who knows...by the time the official firmware for the K7 is released, might have another update for the older K series later on.
Depends on Hoya marketing strategy...at its current price the K20D is bloody irresistable but if its photo taking performance becomes on par or very close with the K7, could affect sales as not everybody needs the K7 extra features.
Remember, when the K20D came out with its official firmware..a lot of optical and feature set comparisons were made even against camera more then twice the K20D`s price including the D700 and even 1D and 5D cameras. Thats just how good k20d is...lots of expectations with K-7 now...can it optically challenge the D3 and A900 both more then 20MP cameras.
