Don't troll. You would'nt recognize K20 from K7 by finger touch with closed eyes. The same material.

There are other things to be shocked by. The shutter sound for example. It's really nice and can compete with other systems shutter sounds

Could well be replacing the stainless steel shell with a lighter metal. Ogl claims around a 600g weight which must mean some weight saving from somewhere despite the smaller size.

Carbon fibre would be good but very expensive!

But my money is on it being made from hopes and dreams

The unexpected new feature will be shock resistance, sort of integrated Camera Armor.

300k views passed this thread is going to be hard to beat.

At the big camera shops in tokyo they have a printout of the 21st may teaser hanging by the pentax displays. mostly seem to be emphasizing the km at the moment.

tried the km and was very impressed! thought the af was very quick and that was with the kit lens, i thought it felt way nicer than the k20d (speaking only of af). tried the k20d with the da 16-50 damn it was slow.... the sdm seems unable to move the focusing ring as fast as the old screw drive.

i hope not, whats the point. the lens on it will break anyway. ive dropped my ist ds into the asphalt at running speed and it was fine, the lens on it not so.

do hope for pentax that they have come up with something interesting that no one else has yet. they need things like that to differentiate. just like adding the sv mode got them some attention in reviews.

I hope they keep the 14.6mp sensor for future models, thats the way to go, keep the mp and make new revisions of the sensor, otherwise the improvements will be eaten up by the extra mp

And what is even worse. You can't upload your own *.wav to replace the original shutter sound

See, same idea as the K10D: weathersealed body but no WR lens

That's what I thought, it definitely NOT stands for Auto Focusing those days.

In short, it is just an AL/ED lens used in the AF sensing unit!

If the AF improvements were just improved algorithms, then why hasn't the K20's performance been upgraded through firmware? There has to be hardware differences, yet the "SAFOX" versions stay the same VIII.

Maybe you haven't noticed the fact that many people reported AF improvements after installing the last K20D firmware?
