I'm one of those people, though I have been looking longingly at the Panny GH1 as well. Definitely interested to see what the K7 brings. I've used my K10D in harsh conditions enough to appreciate good weather sealing (something only Oly would bring to m4/3).

so what is it?
It's a placeholder for something that will be activated in the K8 only.

From some pictures, DOF preview is still around the shutter release.
Indeed.

But why? Neither the k10d nor the k20d have that.
That's a very good question I have no answer about yet.

Same here. I'm waiting for a nice upgrade or should I say addition to my K10D. I'm not thinking about selling the K10D because I think it's not worth it ... rather have a good spare body than 300 €.

I don't understand future strategy of Pentax now...
K-7 is COOL
K-m is very good.
What is between?

Replacement of K20D - which body, which sensor?
Replacement of K200D - which body, which sensor? maybe no any K200D replacement...

I think that all DLSR of any brand in middle and low-end class will have at least approx. 4 fps.

I can't say anything about new cameras after K-7....

Sorry about that. but this translation from russian to english to russian is making us difficult to understand each other.

It's been said lots of times in this thread that the bump on the body above the lens release is just to allow room for the shutter motor.

Actually, I can't beleive they made such a stupid mistake.
I can't either.
