Cast iron maybe , strong and heavy (but a bit fragile), or maybe damascus steel

Not really, I ask if the body is of metal.
And you answer: “K-7 has inner frame and outer housing.”

That is not a “yes” (thus it’s not made of metal), but it’s not a “no” either (thus it’s not entirely of plastic.) So logically it’s build like the k10, inner metal with a plastic shell.

And as has been mentioned, you can always add weight and bulk if that's your deal, but you can't remove it.
Exactly. If both the body and the grip are carefully engineered it's the win-win scenario for either side. For me K20D is a little bigger and a little heavier than what I would consider ideal (but ergonomics is great!), so K-7 looks as promising future. But actually, I am MUCH more interested in what lenses will get WR after the kit ones :-)

Show, but later. Too early now. I think on May, 17-19.

Not MUCH better than magnesium alloy, but a bit stronger.

Metal skeleton with soft tissue… it’s a prerunner of the T-1000 Terminator from Cyberdyne systems with a german accent. Beware!
Or maybe Pentax have sent it back in time to photograph us ALL!

There's one specific quote in the K-7 press release that says something about this (although the term "front focusing" is not used).

Offering all professional grade features with carefully thought out detail in a package which was truely portable. And not too expensive. The MX made me a Pentaxian
My first Pentax (and first SLR) was the MX as well! I still have it.

Looks quite like the size of the k-m.

NO. Close to K200D. I think K200D's size is better than K20D. IMO.
Interesting...

Who's going to be the first to make a CF body? If the price of CF didn't skyrocket in the past couple years, we'd probably have one on the market already...
