I still expect to find a few pleasant surprises tomorrow. I'm also very happy with the apparent specs so far.

The K-7 has all the improvements I wanted over the K200, plus I still get to use AA's.

Other than the viewfinder being bigger (it can always be bigger) and maybe better RAW fps, I see very little to hold against this camera.

This will be the best featuered APS-C dslr and with hte best value/performance lenses I see no reason to look elsewhere.

You're right. Yesterday's leak does look to be a little more then Pentax had planned for. But then it would be hard to stop the momentum that was built.

I don't think it caused any harm though. And Pentax can always strike him from their beta test pool. I would expect it would be enough for other beta testers to stop and think when it comes time to release the APS-H, 8 FPS, Hyperbolic VF K30D.

Opps.

That is very clever. The dedicated batteries are of course better, but if you run out of charged batteries, you can get AA's anywhere on the globe and run the K-7 on them through the grip
Yes AA option is a good idea. For one awful moment I thought Pentax had gone back to *istD AA NIMh.

Does anybody know whether the grip takes a spare SD card?

Im really liking the grip, making the mody smaller and the grip larger gives you even more choice to make the camera very small or to add a lot of size for balance with larger lenses.

And the larger grip on it, looks very good, on the k10/20 the grip on the grip is quite narrow compared to the one on the body, this one looks at least as wide
