Isn't this the first APS-C DSLR with 100% viewfinder? The A900 has 100% but it's full frame.

that resolution is 4:3, you can scale it but you only will have a 4:3 resolution in the end

You have to crop it first to 1536x864 to have a 16:9 then scale it to 1920x1080 if you want.
you mean its actually 3:2 resolution not 4:3

Oh, you're right. The magnification on the D300 is 0.94x though.

so its a bit wider then u could pad it with black stripes to 16:9 and that would increase the res a bit?

With that compression, if they put 1080p on it, it would be a revolution out there for independent film making.

Do you think that is a limitation by hardware or they are planning something for later?

That 1.25% is noticeble when upscalling, but just a little
I need to check my calculations. sorry. Ignore me. 1.25 x 1536 x 1024p is 1920x1280. which is a very strange resolution .

30 minutes to go...

I think it's time for some of our rumour-mongers to cash in their hints.

ogl: what's the big surprise?
ned: what's the connection with the Beatles?

I think the 'little detail' he was referring to is the old style strap lugs.

If we would like to convert 1536x1024 into a 1920x1080 (fullhd) footage, you just have to put it at 125% and crop a little in the top and bottom. 125% it's a good number for upscalling, not bad at all. If we don't have that option we have to put 150% 720p to get 1080p.

Loved this photo, until I realized that six or seven of the lenses would be the 18-55mm and 55-200mm variants.
And not a single FA-Limited in sight
