I think nobody has taken the trouble to look upthe D300 at Tekade....Now, oneandahalfyears after the D300 was announced(at € 1980) the body only at Tekade costs € 1599,00 so the next one is already cheaper there...
Most stores in Europe I looked up charge € 1200,00 for the D300, most indeed about € 1300,00 so the new one is already almost competitive.
We may still see something more than this one, as far as I have been able to tell a few months ago multiple new bodies weer announced. I don't think the Hoya statement changerd toomuch about that.
