The camera is already in batch production. The first K-7 will be in European stocks in 1-2 weeks. The first shipment from factory are already done. Some dealers have got K-7.
I don't believe this.
A few samples may have been distributed to selected dealers, but if there were bulk quantities available already, we would have known about it as most of us have close relationships with our suppliers (it sounds like we're junkies doesn't it?).
Two comments I would like to make:
Is the AF Assist Lamp the only autofocus improvement we're going to see? If this is Pentax's solution to our complaints, then I am not that happy with it.
Has anyone thought of what this rumour has done to second-hand prices?
I could get me a DA*16-50 for 250 euros last week, it seems prices are up to 400 euros today. As many people have started to regain faith in the brand, second-hand prices are on their way up - sad for the true followers like me.
