Oh, No.. I really don't want it to be, again!

So Rice is actually excited, I was getting the tone and he has verified that this actually might get some praise from him if it lives up to the hype.
I would say I am really quite objective from time to time, despite my "strong opinions". I did and will always report Goods to be Good, Bads to be Bad!

Ignore all those fanboys, they never admited anything wrong and sub-standard with Pentax! And never will !

Well considering Pentax actually seems to be reading your blog, do point out the bad, but in a way the fan boys won't ape s^!t over it.

now someone also convince Pentax NOT to do mov files, we want avi

Mpeg2 maybe, or just give us the option

How quickly did that price drop off?

Specifically, if it hits shelves in June, how much do I have to save up by Christmas....
Average discount of 50$/month but it's not linear.

So around $1100 by december...

Now THAT would be cool!
I remember reading several months back that someone spotted someone using a pentax camera at a wedding or something and the photographer never looked at the back lcd, always had his eye at the viewfinder.

This story was posted during K20D rumours were flying around. That means it happened year and several months back

Might I inquire as to why you would want AVI, with all of its brokenness and the million slightly wrong implementations of it, and its ancient specs, over mov, a modern, mpeg4 spec file format that is the recommended container for h.264 video?

Canon has a video camera industry to protect. Is Pentax obligated to protect Samsung's?

Maybe one of the Video experts on the forum could expand on this, but I understood the 5Dii has no way to syc sound with video.

Would you expect the K-7 to allow this? Would that be a first in the industry (VDSLR's)?
Well, Samsung seems poised to kill their own video segment with their own NX system, so I don't think Samsung minds much if Pentax has mic inputs in their upcoming DSLR.

You'll like it. It's a much more refined camera than the K10D/K20D. The camera does have a classic look without looking old at all.
