Originally posted by GoldenWreckedAngle By the way janneman, I don't have permission to view those files. I'm guessing you posted them to illustrate the low noise characteristics of your K10D? I would really like to see them if possible.
They are all in this PBase gallery, just scroll doen to where it gets late in the evening..

If you get exposure right, as in you do not have to boost exposure in post processing, even the ISO 1600 looks nice enough. Some noise but ot as much as you'd expect if you hear the noise produced by the "musicians"
Talk about "noise", see this and you will never complain about it anymore....
Lepke Neske Mestreech is neet breid Originally posted by GoldenWreckedAngle Do you do any post processing to bring the noise under control at 1600?
I shoot mostly RAW, do you get better results with in-camera .Jpg noise reduction?
I also shoot RAW.... I never do any noise aside from any possivble default settings I have not yet been able to switch off. Unforntuantely I cannot recall the converter I used in 2007, I thik it might have been Bibble which dies have some noise reductuion but I am not sure. I don't like noise reduction, makes images "flat".....or I am not good at it....
