I believe you!

T&S with the SR sensor comes to mind.

Other new feature
Every photographer will cry for the feature.
Only Pentax make it. Other maker could not do it.

Hint ... from K10D idea
This feature is the most surprise of K-7
Some kind of better compatibility with older lenses/viewfinder focus confirmation with manual lenses ? I think Pentax was the only one who had this, no ? Although it didn't first appeared on K10D...so I'm cluless.

Or maybe underwater capabilities - "water resistant 10 meters"

Now that would be interesting. But is that even possible?

Uhh... I hope not. T&S with the sensor looks dangerous

There will not be k30d. From interviews of pentax people over the past half year (John Carlsson (USA), some german manager and some managers from Japan), the new k-7 camera will be replacement of k20d, but not direct replacement, this new camera will be more advanced (class little bit up). And for the Christmas season there will be replaced k200d camera. There will not be direct replacement of k20d.
Yes there will be a k30. Pentax has another camera coming later in the year, not 645d...

I can think of only one such thing. A logical extension to existing technology, only to a certain extent implemented on other cameras - but with a new, very interesting functionality that can be made possible only on Pentax cameras - given the technological choices they made in the past.
Hmm... maybe, this is it?

OK, how about autofocus...with old manual lenses? This would certainly kick every other manufacturer's ass, would explain the "awesome new AF system" hype, and would cause Ned Bunnell's blog comment about the Beatles photo to make sense. That is, if it were even possible.

I always wanted a Contax AX autofocus system, so I could have AF with all my manual lenses and so I could kiss all these front/back focusing problems goodbye!

And also, UNCRIPPLE KAF2!

I mean, 8fps? A Pentax? No chance in h*ll!
why not? If it's 8fps for 10MP or 6MP then what's the problem?

Pentax already has focus confirmation in viewfinder with manual focus lenses.
Don't expect better compatibility with older lenses than previous Pentax DSLR's.

Because that would mean a much faster mirror.
Or a gimmick mode, like the 21fps one from the K20D.

Ah, regarding the AF with manual focus lenses, they should re-make the 1.7x AF adapter (weather sealed, minor changes - and the ability to select between the lens AF and adapter AF). I'm sure it will sell very well, at a correct price.

They do have a camera to be released sometime this fall - early winter, to fill up the gap betwen "the new K" and the K-m. It won't be called K30D, and most probably not K30 or even K-30.

I know it has, I'm using it
Just saying that it was the only thing that the competition didn't have...so by an improvement, maybe they can adjust in real time the distance of the floating sensor to move front and backwards so it can assist in focusing...in theory should be possible.

That would be extraordinary.

I wouldn't think the sensor has enough throw to do any more than minor focus adjustments. Would be interesting though.

No, it's not that easy. You'll have to move the sensor several cm... a big, complicated construction.
