Safox is just Pentax name for AF. But what matters, besides algorithms of course, is phase split aperture (~f/5.6), the µm resolution, size and light sensitivity of AF sensor cells.
It is funny how these figures are analyized to death for the image sensor, but nothing is known for the AF sensor. CCD, CMOS, size, #pixels? ... nothing!
I don't care if it is Safox whatever, But I would care if those parameters would improve...
