FPS and RESOLUTION are not ALL.
I totally agree. What I want to know is whether we have good sound recording, contrast AF during movie, or manual control of aperture/shutter/iso in movie mode.

What does SOUL stand for?
Any GOOD and SPECIAL thing which made by human hands has SOUL.
For me, Sony cameras are soulless, cold-hearted. Figuratively.

Pentax is different.
K-7 is camera which I want to carry all the time...It could become the part of my hands.

About video - it's good feature for DLSR,
but K-7 is photo camera, first of all.
Who very like video - buy video camera.

As for me, video of K-7 is just bonus. To use sometimes.

No I thought so too, the K-7 was at least smudged out in CS4.
The photo was shot with the K20D and 31mm Limited or so the exif tells us
Yep there are portions of every pic leaked that have areas smudged, so you can't see whats there even if you tried. I believe the K7 has a small lip on the right as the K20, I also believe the most interesting part is going to be the back! A big LCD with buttons below it instead of to the left of it IMO. This will keep it from looking like a Km and give it a more 'Pro' look. The front will also certainly be something new and exciting, but still have that Pentax look, and I can't wait to see it

quick question, who here actually owns a TV or monitor large enough and sits close enough to it to decipher a difference between 1080p and 720p? I'm willing to bet not many. It amazes me how many people think #2 means crap all the time! The only thing you'll miss between the two is the extra file size.

my 42" 1080p tv is like 6 feet from my couch and I still can't really tell a difference. Believe me, 720p(like the d90) is plenty for "some quality videos on vacation"

HOW could a weather sealed camera have an Articulating screen?
Magic? Olympus managed it with the E-3 so it's doable. Canon have more product segmentation and artificial crippling problems than they do actual technical issues implementing all these features available from other manufacturers. They can; they just won't.

Beats me... so 'maybe' you're right... & that feature is only set on the $2000+ cameras w/ Canon.... who knows... RUMORS RUMORS...
Make that $4000+ cameras with Canon. The 5DII isn't really weather sealed. You'd be making a $2700 paperweight out of it if you ran it under a running faucet. I'm not sure I'd try that on a 1-series either, but that's where the "real" weather sealing starts in Canon land.

E-3 is like coffin There are complaints at forums that water penetrate into articulating LCD of E-3.

I don't think there is anything "poor mans" with any of the DA limiteds. Especially not with the DA70. Photozone.de also confirms this. Both the 40 and 70 are as sharp as their 43 and 77 counterparts at the same f-stop, and both are able to create fantastic looking bokeh.

Most computer monitors are greater than 1080p (this one is 1920x1200). I've got my 32" Sharp Aquos as a secondary monitor when i'm not watching tv on it. I pass video to the TV from the mac. They are both within 3 feet of me. As for the couch, you are right.. it might not be that visible.

I will be happy with 720p. I won't be surprised when they release the replacement to the K-7 with 1080p though.

And both are not particularly cheap either...

I hope these specs are wrong. I don't want to wait another year and a half for 1080p. The competition will be way ahead of the game by then.
1080p, it's OK:ugh:
