I'd vote for that mother-in-law program. That would probably get some new pentaxians from the canikon user base.

only if instead of taking pictures it transports her to a non-adjacent state.

its slightly more exciting than that. But not very exciting. think of it as an improvement, for me it is not, but it is an indicator of something else, something measurable.
15 AF points.

I'm with you on that one. Perhaps we'll one day se a real "limited" body from Pentax. A bit like the MZ-M "back to basics" thinking. If this new body is all metal and as good as some say, then there they'll just have to cut down features, perhaps add some gold and increase the price tag
One other thing about this request: Pentax could do it at any time. It is nothing to do with new technologies. It is all to do with design and careful thinking.

Get with the program guys. The outer shell is Hypercoloured Bakerlite so you can all have funky coloured cameras.

The MkII version will have a plasticine outer, so it can be molded to each persons hands and embedded with mood rings to change colour depending on your mood. :O

My vote is with the 15 af points. I've seen this list of numbers floating around the net and it contains 14.6, so it's not there to indicate the number of megapixels. It could also be 15 frames buffer as suggested, but then there was more talk about improved metering, af and whitebalance..

The list is as follows, and my guess written behind each one:

1/250 - flash sync speed
100 - 100% viewfinder coverage?
14,6 - megapixels
921 000 - pixels on lcd
1/8000 - max shutterspeed
1300 - euro launch price ?
100-6400 - iso
77 - metering points
5 - fps
720 - p hd video
30 - fps video
15 - af metering points
670 - grams ?
980 - ?

One of them could be the number of weather seals as well, I think the K20 was reported to have 74 seals, and the only reasonable guess would be 100 from that list. I don't think it will have 670 or 980 different seals One of the higher numbers could also be the number of shots per charge.

It's 980 shots on a single charge and as far as I know, the K-7 still has 11 focus points (phase detect AF) with nine cross-type sensors. The "15" is still unknown to me.

I still don't understand why we need more focus points than 1. Why let the camera decide where it wants to focus? I understand the need for multi-point metering, but multipoint focusing makes no sense to me.

I tend to agree, I only use the central AF point but I want to be sure it focuses on what I want, nothing else. Some people prefer use the default mode though...

You can't track an object moving across the frame with a single AF point
