Did someone elucidate what the rightmost button is doing (the one with the losange/square)?
Should be color style in the K20D. like Bright/Natural
645D has the same button.

Since the camera is supposed to be presented in Norway, it's probably made of aluminum alloy then. Norway has been a large producer of aluminum for ages. The new Macbook is aluminum, so why not ?

No any aluminum. Only steel.

Steel as in Fe+C? If it's made just from that material then it will be even heavier than the K10D/K20D.

One new thing I would like to throw in this discussion.

I think someone mentioned that SR in the K-7 would have interesting features. What could this mean. One thing I can imagine would be a panning mode. Any others?

The camera is smaller than K10D/K20D, but the weight is almost the same.

Some mentionned shift (as shift lenses) although I doubt it. But why not.

That would be great. As I like the weight of my K10D ... it keeps my hands steadier.

Imagine rotating the sensor when mounted on a tripod. A tripod usually has coarse controls for getting it level; with rotating the sensor you can get the horizon 100% level.

I have read somewhere that the body material is magnesium steel. Don't quote me on that though.

From Digitalfotonetz.de:

This is from a photographer who has been allowed to handle a real K-7:

- More agressive noise reduction available in JPG (less noise and less details)

- AF "best ever" from Pentax (no further comment possible yet).

- About as heavy as a K20D and "does not feel that small" in even a "large man's hands" used to a K20D.

- Improved weather resistance (better than K20D).

- The shell doesn't "feel" like metal on first contact.

- A postprocessed 720p video demo made by Pentax does exist. Its quality is said to be "breathtaking". The photographer was really impressed by what he saw.

- AF works in video!
